The complainant, a non-governmental organisation, sought public access to a wide range of documents concerning the procedures and work of the European Asylum Support Office (EASO). After the EASO failed to respect the deadlines set out in the EU's rules on public access to documents, the complainant turned to the Ombudsman.

During the course of the Ombudsman's inquiry, the EASO replied to the complainant and granted access to all the requested documents. The Ombudsman therefore closed the case as settled.
