Thank you for having contacted me and for the support you, and hundreds of other interested citizens, expressed for my recent Recommendation to the European Commission in this case. I would like to assure you that my team and I will continue to look into this matter very thoroughly.

Last week, the Commission informed me that it would not comply with my Recommendation to disclose the documents in question. I forwarded the Commission’s reply to the complainant (a French NGO) and I am now awaiting its comments. Once I hear back from the complainant, I will decide on the next steps in my inquiry.
