Dear Mr O'Sullivan,
On 11 July 2012, I informed you about my decision to open an inquiry into the above complaint against the European External Action Service (the 'EEAS'). I asked for your opinion on the complaint by 31 October 2012.
I note with pleasure that before that date the EEAS was able to resolve the problem. On 24 August 2012, the complainant informed me that the matter had been resolved to his satisfaction and that he wished to withdraw his complaint.
In light of the above, I concluded that the EEAS has taken steps to settle the matter. Consequently, I decided to close the case.
