Dear Mr C.,
On 29 September 2000 you made a complaint to the European Ombudsman against the European Commission concerning payment for work carried out under a contract with the Commission.
In this complaint, you made the following allegation:
The Commission has failed to pay the sums due to you under Contract no. IPS-CT-1999-90018.

On 22 October 2000, you informed me that payment with regard to the said contract had been made in the meantime and that the problem had thus been resolved.
In your letter, you also thanked the Commission's services for their assistance.
It appears from your letter that the Commission has taken steps to settle the matter and has thereby satisfied you. I therefore close the case.
