Decision of the European Ombudsman on complaint 510/2000/IJH against the European Commission

Strasbourg, 24 July 2000

Dear Mr P.,
I am writing in reply to our correspondence, in which you have described your experiences with the Commission in relation to the management and payment procedures within the Leonardo da Vinci Programme.
As I stated in my e-mail of 7 June "The European Ombudsman can only adopt his view on a dispute between a citizen and a Community institution or body after an inquiry, in which both parties have had the opportunity to be heard. It is therefore not possible for the Ombudsman to express a view on your dispute with the Commission unless you submit a complaint to the Ombudsman against the Commission".
However, I have received no reply from you. I have therefore decided to close the case on the ground that you have wished to drop the case.
If you wish to make a complaint to the European Ombudsman you can find details on how to submit a complaint and a form which may be used for the purpose on the Ombudsman's website (http://www.ombudsman.europa.eu).
Yours sincerely
Jacob SÖDERMAN
