1. On 10 January 2018, the complainant wrote to the European Commission to report potential irregularities related to the project life/13/env/en/000169. Having received no reply, the complainant turned to the European Ombudsman on 26 June 2018.
2. The Ombudsman’s staff in charge of the inquiry contacted the European Commission. The European Commission replied to the complainant on 17 September 2018. At the suggestion of the Ombudsman’s staff, the Commission sent a second, more detailed reply to the complainant on 14 November 2018.
3. Since a comprehensive substantive reply was sent concerning the arguments raised by the complainant, the issue underlying the complaint in question is resolved [1] and we have therefore decided to close the case [2].
