In reply to the Ombudsman’s suggestion for improvement, the Commission reassured the Ombudsman that it pays particular attention to infringement cases involving sensitive personal or family matters. Although the Ombudsman maintains that the Commission could have been more informative in its first reply to the complainant in this case, the Ombudsman trusts that the Commission will continue to hold itself to a high standard when it comes to its relations with complainants who find themselves in difficult personal circumstances.
