Strasbourg, 9 March 2005

Dear Mrs H.,

On 11 February 2005, you submitted a complaint against the European Commission to me. You alleged, in substance, that the Commission had failed properly to deal with your request of 20 December 2004, and you claimed that the Commission should without delay take a position on the matter.

On 28 February 2005, I forwarded your complaint to the Commission for its opinion.

In an undated letter that I received on 7 March 2005 you informed me that you wished to withdraw your complaint, given that the Commission had taken a position on your request in its letter of 17 February 2005.

I have therefore closed the case.
