The Ombudsman has examined the vacancy notice and notes that it did not contain any information concerning the total duration of the Procedure, nor the approximate timing of the essential stages.Although Fusion for Energy has no legal obligation to include this type of information in its vacancy notice, the Ombudsman considers that the provision of such information  would constitute good administrative behaviour, reducing, for the benefit of the applicants, the degree of uncertainty inherent in any competition, and avoiding any doubts about the transparency of the Selection Procedure. Moreover, this would enable applicants to envisage more clearly the timeframe of the Procedure. The Ombudsman considers that, whatever the recruiting body, candidates in EU selection procedures can reasonably expect to be provided with  at least an indicative timetable.
