1. The complainant wrote to the European Personnel Selection Office about the mistaken inclusion of her name on the list of successful candidates in a selection competition for the EU Civil Service. As the complainant did not receive a reply, she turned to the Ombudsman.

2. The Office of the Ombudsman made contact with the relevant service of the European Personnel Selection Office. The European Personnel Selection Office then replied to the complainant and explained that it was another candidate with the same name who had been placed on the list of successful candidates.

3. As the matter thus is solved, the Ombudsman closes the case[1].
