"EU transparency: Where are we now?"
Seminar organised by the European Ombudsman
27 September 2013, 10.00 - 12.30

The International Right to Know Day was established in 2003 by access to information advocates from around the world. Given that there will be a new European Parliament and a new Commission in 2014, and given that his own mandate is coming to an end, the European Ombudsman is keen to examine how much progress has been made as regards transparency in the EU institutions over the past decade.

"What progress has been made during the last ten years?"

10.15 Presentations:

Paul de Clerck, ALTER-EU: "Lobbying transparency and ethical behaviour in the EU institutions"

Helen Darbishire, Access Info Europe: "Latest developments in EU transparency"

Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission

The event will be webstreamed at: www.ombudsman.europa.eu
