An advisory committee has evaluated the 57 projects received, which were distributed among five categories.
The European Ombudsman, Emily O’Reilly, selected the winners and announced them at a special ceremony on 28 June 2023.

The award ceremony featured opening remarks by Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, and was moderated by Shada Islam.
