Dear Dr X,
You recently submitted a complaint to the European Ombudsman against the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) concerning the above issue.
After we informed the EDPB about your complaint, the EDPB proactively re-considered its decision refusing to give access to the two documents at issue in your confirmatory application. Taking into account the arguments you put forward in your complaint to our Office, the EDPB concluded that the documents can be disclosed. It then provided you with public access to these documents in their entirety.
We commend the EDPB for its citizen-minded approach in this case. Given that you have now confirmed that you have received the documents in question from the EDPB, we have decided to close the inquiry with the following conclusion:
The complaint has been settled.
Yours sincerely,
Rosita Hickey
