On 23 July 2018, the European Ombudsman opened an inquiry against the European Asylum Support Office (EASO), following a complaint from Advocates Abroad. The complaint concerned EASO’s failure to reply to the complainant’s correspondence of 25 April 2018. The complaint also complained about alleged misconduct of EASO staff when conducting interviews with asylum seekers in the Greek hotspots.
