The complainant was concerned with the decision by the European Banking Authority (EBA) not to carry out a formal investigation into the role of the German Banking Supervisor (Bafin) in the collapse of financial and payment services company Wirecard. The complainant was dissatisfied with the response by the EBA to the complaints he raised, and turned to the Ombudsman.
