Publication of information concerning senior officials who left the service in 2015 in accordance with article 16(4) of the staff regulations

Two senior officials left the Ombudsman's service in 2015. One informed the Ombudsman of his intention to engage in an occupational activity.

Description of the duties intended to be exercised in the new position and name of the new employer

Mr Harden declared his intention to be an Honorary Professor and a Member of the Advisory Board of the School of Law of the University of Sheffield (UK). These duties could include researching, writing for publication, conference presentations and occasional teaching.

Ombudsman's assessment and conclusions

The Ombudsman considered that Mr Harden's new occupational activity did not lead to a conflict with the legitimate interests of the Institution and the institution therefore did not raise any objection.
