It is good administrative behaviour to inform staff of the deadlines within which legal remedies can be exercised. Doing so enables staff members to exercise within the deadlines the successive appeal possibilities available to them. Failing to indicate clearly the applicable deadlines creates a risk that staff members will miss deadlines, which can leave them with a sense of frustration. This is surely not in the interests of the institution employing them. A proactive human resources policy should prevent such situations from arising. This can be achieved simply by indicating to staff the applicable deadlines
