Decision of the European Ombudsman on complaint 1063/99/UK against the European Commission
Decision
Case 1063/99/VK - Opened on Friday | 03 September 1999 - Decision on Monday | 18 October 1999
Strasbourg, 18 October 1999
Dear Ms B.,
I refer to your letter of 22 July 1999 in which you complained about the lengthy processing and lack of control by the Commission with regard to the implementation of the ESPRIT project 20073 'RasDaMan'.
Following a careful examination of your complaint, the European Ombudsman sent your complaint to the President of the European Commission on 3 September 1999, inviting him to submit his observations. By letter of 29 September 1999, you informed the European Ombudsman that your complaint had been remedied by the Commission, which had clarified the facts in a clear and unbureaucratic manner.
The Ombudsman therefore considers that the Commission has taken the necessary measures to settle the matter.
The European Ombudsman has therefore closed the case.
I will also inform the President of the European Commission of this decision.
Sincerely,
Jacob SÖDERMAN
