The complainant sought public access to documents concerning border and migration management linked to a visit to Greece by EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson.

As the European Commission had not replied within the applicable timeframe, the Ombudsman asked the Commission to reply to the request. Following the Ombudsman's request, the Commission replied to complainant, granting him almost full access to the documents in question, and the Ombudsman therefore closed the inquiry.
