The complainant asked the European Union Satellite Centre (SatCen) to grant public access to recent reports and maps concerning the situation at the border between Belarus and Poland. SatCen refused access, arguing that disclosing the documents could undermine the protection of the public interest with regard to defence and military matters as well as international relations. 

Based on the inquiry and an inspection of the documents, the Ombudsman found that SatCen was justified in refusing public access to the requested documents. She thus closed the inquiry finding no maladministration.
