Sag SI/3/2021/VS - Indledt den Fredag | 18 juni 2021 - Afgørelse af Fredag | 17 juni 2022 - Involverede institutioner Europa-Kommissionen | Den Europæiske Tilsynsførende for Databeskyttelse
The European Ombudsman, together with her national counterparts in the European Network of Ombudsmen (ENO), has been assessing the implications of artificial intelligence (AI) for public administrations. In this context, the Ombudsman carried out a strategic initiative on AI, notably engaging with the European Commission and the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) to seek further information about the potential implications of the proposed new EU rules on AI.
The initiative concluded with a set of observations on the potential implications of AI on public administrations, and the role that ombudsman institutions could play to this end.
