The European Ombudsman is currently looking for a web development trainee (Java) to assist in the development of the Ombudsman's Internet and Extranet sites.

Description

The profile sought is as follows:

  • Very good knowledge of Java, J2ee and HTML
  • Good knowledge of JavaServer Faces, MyFaces, SVN, Maven, Hibernate, Spring, Tomcat, and SQL
  • Development environment: Windows XP/7 and Eclipse
  • Integration enviroment: Unix
  • Working languages: English and/or French

Location, timing, and length of the traineeship

The traineeship will be based in Strasbourg.

The next session will start the 16 May 2013.

The traineeship has a minimum duration of four months. It can be extended for a period left to the Ombudsman's discretion, normally up to a maximum of 12 months.

Trainees who do not receive a salary or other form of financial support receive a scholarship during the traineeship period (for further details see the application form below).
